Independent reckons that Sunderland will beat Newcastle to sign Andros Townsend from Spurs. Levy was saying he wanted £14m for him recently.
Townsend will 'significantly' increase his current £40,000 a week salary.

Apparantly we are watching Sam Byram as a possible attacking RB... Essex boy and has played over 120 times for Leeds yet he's only 22.
Anyone seen him play? Don't know how he stands contract wise but he seems to be the sort of player we should be looking at. Can't be any worse than Gooner Carl.

Watched Byram score twice at Wolves the other week. He didn't have a great game though. That said I've seen him a few times previously and been impressed. Basically a right sided Cresswell. On a free or low fee I'd get him in and give him a chance.

I'd say that's the one with the biggest chance of happening in the Summer. Pretty sure Sulivan, Henry and Bilic know the 2 big names they want for next season. One is a creative wide player to replace Moses who'll return to Chelsea and probably a right back to replace Jenkinson who'll return to Arsenal.
Sullivan has already been quoted stating that it'll be a similar transfer budget again next season around £30m.
We'll be very solid in the middle next year with a choice of Kouyate, Obiang with a PL season under his belt, hopefully a fit Song on a permanent deal, Noble, the returning Diego Poyet and young Josh Cullen who may well be out on loan for the 2nd half of this season to get him some experience.
Any additions to the front line will likely depend on what Bilic intends to do with Carroll, Valencia, Zarate and Jelavic next season and whether he wants to keep them all.

I'd put money on the fact that we'll be sitting on deadline day still waiting for a signing. Doubt very much that we'll bring anyone in unless a few leave or our injury situation takes a dive again.
